Has anyone seen this movie? Just watched it. Really interesting, and not what I expected at all. Really kinda sad too.
Def worth a watch

saw it (we did the site). here are my thoughts i shared with the client after seeing an early screening...very similar to what you said.
////////// * spoiler alert ----------------
By the end, while Nev was sitting for Angela's last painting of him, I felt completely horrified that someone could have the capacity to do what Angela did, and to do them to the extents she went to. I was even more caught off guard when she was able to talk so calm and openly about everything she had done. It made my skin crawl when she spoke in Megan's voice to Nev as she painted him, and told him how beautiful his eyes were and how much she loved them...I found the entire thing so bizarre that it almost seemed too crazy to be true.
Despite everything she had done (and how many times I whispered to myself "this woman is absolutely crazy"), I was surprised by how much sympathy I had for Angela. It was almost heart wrenching to hear her share how she came up with the characters that made up her virtual world; she describes them as fragments of who she was, or who she wanted to be...and how she threw all of it away just to have fun. Ugh...so sad.
It's a very human story and I'm looking forward to thinking about it some more. Personally, I found Angela's motives to be less about wanting to establish a connection with another person but more about filling a very deep void in her life by pretending to be the person(s) she wants to be. It's fascinates me to think that technology has created such a poignant way for deeply troubled people to exhaust their frustrations with reality--completely anonymously

definitely pretty gripping on the big screen—still pretty dismissive of the "fake"/"mockumentary" claims.
