Just wondering what everyones thoughts on WiFi signals are? Do you think its bad for our health?
A friend of mine wont use a wireless router because of EMF waves.Do you really think its a problem?

a mate of mine who is a genius of networking told me that the frequency of a wifi signal is the same as a microwave frequency. That doesnt make the the same type of wave in any way (IIRC).
But sounds bad enough.
- cant be the same otherwise they would interfere...fresnobob
- yeh thats what i was saying. and it would cook objects near your router!Hombre_Lobo_2
- your mate's a genius allrightlambsy
- hahahahahajaylarson
- well he appears to be right, so he certainly is more of a genius than you.Hombre_Lobo_2

- i sounded well bitchy then.

i hope not. i have both of my wifi routers pointed directly at my genitals.

also have you heard of electrosensitivity sufferers?
Some people cant go near televisions or computers, some cant even live in busy cities because of adversely electrical energy effects their health.
Its very interesting.
- adversely needs to be 2 words to the right please.Hombre_Lobo_2

it gives you cancer
- I used to work with a guy who studied microwave technology in the military. He said not to be closer than 10 feet from a microwave to avoid cancerSrSamaurai
- ...microwave if you want to avoid getting cancer.SrSamaurai
- Claymantis0
Hmmm, yea.
There is no real proof it does anything bad!
But who knows!- what are you like a scientist or something?brodster

Its naive to think that not having a wireless router is helpful. It doesn't stop the other signals bombarding you anyway. They are everywhere in populated areas. So if you're gonna get a brain tumor anyway, don't inconvenience yourself by not having wireless.
- My friend lives wayyy out in the country. The only EMF ways would be produced by him.Claymantis
- Is your friend the unibomber?ETM
- hah nope just a human being that doesnt live in a city!Claymantis

I had an emf reader a week ago, did a test on several things, and most were pretty safe including monitors, computers, iphones.
Wireless routers were pretty bad but only from a close distance of about half a foot.
Just as bad or worse than wireless routers were desktop fans and the biggest shock was alarm clocks with digital displays, the reading was off the chart and most people sleep with them close to their heads.

No wifi is good for you.

only applies to QBN Younguns

also check into TV Waves, Cell phone signals and Computer Waves (EMF) signals are set at the same wave length as your brain communication.
Thats why you see people zone out when they watch tv or get upset if someone speaks to loud. That is the EMF waves.
- the EMF waves controlling their brain waves man, dude. Ya.VikingKingEleven
- Who's controlling yours now?ETM

Haven't read it myself but I've been told the fine print in the iphone manual recommends holding the phone at least 5/8" from your head. I would assume from that they are aware the low level radiation is bad for you.

Reminds me of my grandfather's story of a guy with a Geiger counter and his assistant was wearing a fancy watch... they were on some contract for the defence dept... they came into his airplane factory one day to check for radiation... the guy was checking everywhere and finding a bit but not much, so my grandfather asked him to point his geiger counter at the assistant's watch, which had radium dials and the geiger counter pinned the meter to the max...
