i'm looking for an app that tracks where you've been on a map. something that will track and record where i've been by drawing the routes on a map.
do you know of anything like this?

i actually just googled it, because i thought it sounded like an easy thing to find. this app looks awesome. and only $2.99.
might get it for some long mountain bike rides around christmas!

- It doesn't look like runkeeper allows you to download your tracks from the phone.marcostill

I can second what mydo said ^

because it integrates w/ http://trailrunnerx.com which is an okay desktop tool.
A buddy of mine uses http://runkeeper.com/ and seems to like it a lot.
What's nice about those is the time/track/elevation profile aspects.I use a stand-alone gps (garmin) and import all of my tracks into Google Earth (where I can edit, view in 3d, plan etc).

didn't use gps very much on my 3G iphone cuz it killed my battery 3 hours into my hikes. plus we're in the mountains so you can't always get a cell signal anyway.
Urban runs/hikes and such the iphone I'm sure works great tho.
