Magnificent execution throughout all of it.

Exquisite use of Flash...
- hilchev0
how much did it cost?

Beautiful! And really well executed. Congrats, www.soleilnoir.net
They did one more feature for Nespresso. However, the main site is faulty and as far as I remember is not really as hi-end as this one.
- I beg your pardon. they did several features for nespresso, not just one more.popovich

I heard George Clooney personally coded the entire thing.
- Only messing, it's beautifully done.Daithi
- so funny...I heard it was Michael Stipe from REMdoublespaced
- we had a LOL at this comment in the office heheHench

I'm loving the music!

Absolutely beautiful and stunning.
But it's really just a "choose your own commercial" type of journey.
Click. Watch a video. Click. Watch a video. Click. Watch a video.

So the lavish stores and Clooney ads weren't already convincing enough that these little coffee pods are overpriced marketing gimmicks. No question, it's impressive when you consider how much work must be involved in this site but what age is Nespresso aiming at here? It's like a microsite for a kids disney film.
- evanburke0
Yeah the mini-games are strange. There's no real utility to the site.
It is stunning though, like watching a Terry Gilliam film.

This is a gratuitous use of Flash and 3D. Could have worked so much harder for the obvious amount of money pumped into this project. A lot of hot air wrapping minimal content.

- hm..a bit like saying magazines are a gratuitous use of color photographs and writing..mikotondria3

painful, like a badly compressed advert, is this 2005 again? the one game I played was inane. Was too much like a mix of the coke happiness factory and 'in the night garden'
The actual work that went into it was nice though, just the idea was lacking.

Great lighting, texturing, animation, sound and modelling work. Thumbs up for that.
However it did lag and judder on my average machine and I couldn't take it for more than 2 minutes. And however good the ads are - why have they got to fuck around with coffee ? Chucking sickly flavored syrup and shit in it ?
I wouldn't drink any of that purile, childish gunk. Coffee IS a flavor, they add it to other stuff to make it taste nice. Coffee-infused caramel, or coffee and almond cake. Not the fucking other way round you stupid twats - leave stuff alone ! Just because you CAN add sickly muck to sub-standard instant powered Robusta coffee, market it and sell it to 30-something married woman who will drink it in their designer kitchen and 'take a me moment' to look out of the fucking window and sigh wearing a 'fashion' knit doesn't mean you SHOULD do it.
Make better fucking coffee - make regional coffees, single-grower blends in a variety of roastings - teach people that coffee is it's own food group, as rich and varied and cultured as fine wine. Sell people a journey, an experience, something genuine they can grow with and love and explore. Don't make the same acrid brown piss and adulterate it with sugar and nuts and perfume and all that shit.
Fuck me.- absolutely.
on a pedantic note though, there are some great robusta coffees out there, as well as some shit arabicashans_glib - ...shit arabicashans_glib
- true.. I don't robustas at all, actually.mikotondria3
- absolutely.
- thecreativefire0
looks great but ultimately theres no real point and you don't really learn anything. does it really appeal to the target market?
- probably - nespresso is for people who couldn't give a shit about coffeehans_glib
- fucking un shit-givers. Fucking hell.mikotondria3

Great execution, I don't see how this is helping their brand at all.
Nespress is an easier, faster way to make espresso but this website is a giant, bloated, beautiful bitch.

Very greatest,
I need to get more ram.

I'm sure this could all be done in HTML5 :)

Good name for an nes emulator.

I love the music! It's an original sound track from JC Quilez. Great work, congrats!

Super cute. Just bought $30 worth for my cube at home and the studio. Caramel. Yum.
