The bullets on a website I'm working on are vertically not aligned with the text. What am I doing wrong?

In IE only.

Post your CSS - we don't know what you are doing right either...

Show us the CSS or you'll just get speculation...
I'd speculate you probably have top padding on your list items that somehow doesn't affect the list-style type.

Did I mention I'm using tables too? The client insisted on using them...trust me, I had no choice in the matter.
.vtour ul{
width:170px;
}.vtour li{
width:170px;
margin-left:8px;
line-height:1.5em;
}.mmhide_virt_tour a, .mmhide_virt_tour a, .mmhide_virt_tour a{
color:#493D63;
text-decoration:none;
}.mmhide_virt_tour a:hover, .mmhide_virt_tour a:hover, .mmhide_virt_tour a:hover{
color:#7C2128;
text-decoration:underline;
}

try using different ammunition.

If I were you, I'd use a bg image for the bullets.
Something like
li {
list-style-type:none;
background:transparent url(bullet.gif) no-repeat 0 5px}Means you can have a lot more control over where the bullet is and what it looks like...
- I'd rather not, because we're using regular list items elsewhere without any problems.besler

it could be something to do with line-height - do they line up when you remove that?
Also - are there any legacy styles being applied to the A?
- orrinward0
If that is the only CSS being applied to the bullets, line-height is causing the problems. None of the other properties will have an effect on text placement.

I went ahead and put a different ul class on it, which seemed to fix it. Not sure why I didn't think of that earlier; I certainly didn't need a different ul class for that page.
