hello, i'm new here, sorry in advance for all the noobish mistakes I will be making.
My name is Jenn and I have been out of the design community since about 2006. I want to get myself back into the swing of things, make some new friends, and could really use some help.
I need some feedback on the portfolio I am working on. I consider it to be about 70% done. All my stuff is pretty out of date so until I can get a good, NEW collection of work I want this portfolio to really stand out.
Anyway, take a look at http://www.cellsdividing.com/. It's a start but a lot about it needs work. The typography I just can't seem to get right, and I am open to any suggestions. I want to completely re-do the "introduction" section, and put a lot more of my personality into the overall content.
Thanks!

could probably merge the stuff at the top with the intro. the jumping down the page thing is a bit weird since my monitor is really tall, I can see the large gap and top of the next section.
- yeah after i posted this i decided that the whole set up was pretty silly so i re-did.cellsdividing

first 4 impressions
1. introduction doesn't fit, should maybe be part of homepage
2. line spacing seems tight
3. portfolio thumbs could be much larger
4. color difference on et cetera seems without reason- thanks for your feedback :) i'll be re-working the portfolio thumbs too i've never been happy with them.cellsdividing

Some spelling and grammar errors in the introductory text. I would rewrite it like this maybe...
"Hi, I'm Jenn, and I'm a freelancer living in Bay Saint Louis, MS. I specialize in web design, blogging, & social media. My code is clean, beautiful, and follows W3C and accessibility standards. I keep my designs minimalistic, straightforward, and always put user experience first."
- No need to capitalize random words...personally I hate it when marketing people do that:)abettertomorrow

I am not feeling the Edward Scissorhands upper and lower borders...
