Do any of you know which universities are best for studying architecture in the UK?
Are there any architecture industry related forums that are worth checking out?

www.archinect.com is a long time favorite of mine on the web. It used to be absolutely hilarious back when it was an anonymous message board. Oh, the things that went on there... I managed to convince dozens of people that I was a Russian cosmonaut on the International Space Station who found the site while browsing yahoo for the Russian Avant Garde book. It came down to people arguing whether or not it was really a cosmonaut, with one guy finally saying "I absolutely believe it's someone on the space station. How and why would someone make this up?" I had done so much research on the guy I was writing as. It was epic.
Sadly when they switched over to a subscribe message board they wiped out all the great old threads. We had a noodlin' thread that would make your head hurt.

I have just finished under-grad at University of Nottingham. I wouldn't go into architecture if I were you...the job market is dire right now, I'm finding out the hard way that is a very boom and bust profession.
In terms of which universities are rated highly for architecture:
UCL Bartlett
Cambridge
Cardiff
Sheffield
The AA (if you can afford it)
University of Westminster
University of Manchester
University of Nottingham
University of Liverpoolwww.pushpullbar.com might be worth a look.

Thanks for the info. My little bro is thinking about becoming an architect and is after the information.
Sounds like he should think carefully about the decision ...

Archinect is still anonymous. I've had my alias since, well, '97 or so.
We don't need anymore architects, just in case you were thinking about it. The backlog of new grads and lack of employment is just horrendous. I truly feel sorry for any recent grads or anyone coming out in the next few years.
