Hi,
I am moving and I need a new desk for my mac.
I wanted to have something nice and contemporary but am struggling to find anything.I was thinking curved glass, but it seems a bit pricey, but I might have to go that way if I cannot find anything.
What do you use?

CodenameAM - You would get some serious glare from the windows on those glossy screened bad boys!robulation
- Laptop would surely cook in there if used for more than 5 minutesgraham
- drilled holes perhaps?Amicus
- I thought about the laptop issue too, little square holes to ventilate would be sweet, or sit on a light mesh so it could breath all round the laptop.CodenameAM
- not bad. agree on the laptop needs more air.akrok

The Yummygum office looks wicked!! and the attention to detail with their logo as the cable hole is such a nice touch.
One day!
- It just looks like sprayed/laquered mdf. Nothing too fancy that a carpenter couldn't do for you!ian
- Paint the surrounds white, go to ikea for the metal lockers and lamp shades. Bish bash bosh, jobs a good un.ian
- I hear you guys! and it's what I have been thinking. Thanks againCodenameAM

at my old place, they bought some Ikea cabinets and put a flat door or something across the top. looked and functioned much better than it sounds.

Good thread. My fiance and I are currently buying a condo and I'm all about having my office/music room tricked out to be very efficient and stylish. I still have my ikea table top desk and office stuff from my previous apartment, but it's all the light color wood and I'm planning on something darker for the new place.

Permanent ban for anyone who suggests buying a door and putting it on two saw horses. I have NEVER EVER EVER understood that unless you're setting up something to do construction work on in a barn or garage. It's simple: there are dozens of better options for similar or cheaper prices.

There are some nice Ikea dinning tables. minimal and cheap, height adjustable too.
