personally anti-glare 100% all the fucking way for me, but each to their own.

anti-glare every time.

I like the glossy. It makes the dark tones appear deeper, I think. That anti-glare makes the deep tones look a bit frosty, IMHO.

Anti glare dude.

I prefer anti-glare.

The only thing glossy is good for is seeing people coming up behind you in the reflection, while you're browsing the chick of the day thread.

I have a glossy screen on my 13" MBP. Even in my dark office I get distracting reflections on the screen. I'd go with the antiglare.
I don't use the MBP screen for choosing color or image correction (I always use my calibrated 24" monitor), so it's not that big of a deal.

I have a MBP with glossy screen, probably had it for a year and 1/2 now, and still can't get used to it, some people say they like it, but to be honest, just the name it self tells you that you are going to have an obstacle between your eyes and the screen "glare"
it is understood that people tend to protect their eyes from glare, using hats, sun glasses, goggles, with their own hands or by looking away from it, why would you want to have it on your screen is beyond me. Yes it might look nice and shiny at the store, so I can see the aesthetic value, but there is NO functional value in it.
just my opinion thought, again, I'm pretty sure some people don't mind it...

thanks all. I think that about solves it for me. stick with what I am already happy with.
So who has 17, 15 or 13 mbp's...

15in here.
Have always gone with antiglare coz I hate glossy, but went with the glossy with my new laptop to save some bucks... and I already got used to it. The reflections don't bother me at all now.

Anti-gloss

Interesting, of all glossy/antiglare threads this one probably has the highest ratio of pro-antiglare voices, i.e. something like 95%. It used to be less and usually iMac owners chime in with their stories of acceptance and the voodoo of setting the screen against the sun in the room.
Interesting bonus when buying angitlare macbook pro: they are about 0.2Kg lighter without the shiny glass.
- a whole 200g? you need to do some exercise if you notice that.Amicus
