its still on?
- Remember when this show started? It seemed so promising. Now it's the equivalent of some horrible sitcom or soap opera that has been going on for decades.yuekit
- ^ ah, just like lifeGnash
- Kirkman had said during interviews he wants it to go on forever. Exactly like a miserable soap opera with no ending.PhanLo
- as long as it veers to the adventures of Negan and not these ass-hats_niko
- I was thinking that Negan is the problem. They need to move beyond him and Lucille. Maybe keep Lucille.CyBrainX

This episode reminded me of Elaine in Seinfeld screaming "Die already!" in the theater during The English Patient.
I liked the other half of the episode.

anyone else think they're pulling a Glen and it's a fake-out?
there are theories floating around that he got bitten by a whisperer.
Also we didn't seen the suicide nor the body afterwards.
seemed like the show was the story of Carl in a lot of ways so it doesn't make sense to off him.
- I think as an actor he aged out of the role. So in a practical sense he had to go.Centigrade
- Glen's fake out was pretty lame. This would be 10x worse. They showed Rick and Michone burying his body.CyBrainX
- a body under a white shroud, technically that could have been anyone...totally reaching here lol_niko
- he's gone. lolsea_sea
- there was a flashback of him getting bit, and the show the zombie that bit him. It def wasn't a Whisperer.dopepope
- It was said he was told of his dismissal only 2 weeks before his 18th bday. He aged out not of the role, but the budget, I'll wager.ETM
- He just bought a home recently in Georgia too. He was told he'd be around another 3 years, then poof, shortly after he gets the axe.ETM
- does he die like this in the graphic novel?Gardener
- What's a whisperer?CyBrainX
- Never mind. I found this. http://walkingdead.w…CyBrainX
- @Gardener, I believe Carl is still alive in the comics.ETM

I pretty much stopped watching after the first episode this season. Either way, after all the hype, I had to watch the last episode. Won't lie, I did a little of the ugly cry. lol
I'm ready for the series to end. Give us some resolution already, either kill them all or find them an awesome place to live. Maybe rescue them by chopper, that same chopper that's been on my mind since season one, the one that Rick saw when he was in Atlanta and met Glen.

Latest episode was pure drivel for the whole runtime
- I'm glad that kid stepped up and took that guy out. I thought he might escape and last another 10000 episodes.PhanLo
- I thought the episode was pretty good aside from the endless Coral Death Scene.CyBrainX

For some reason, I kinda liked the last episode...
it felt that was written a bit differently, there is more human connections, and not just a weird war/kill zombies loop. And surprisingly enough.. I kinda sympathised with Jadis.
Didnt understand the whole way of talking though.. (that ended up going to "normal mode" torwards the end)- I'd like more explanation on the speaking too. I'm glad it was something they chose to do as it made no sense that people would forgot how to talk in a coupleETM
- years. Maybe a couple generations living like that may see language changes, but not a couple years.ETM
- the reference to the helipad and the "you know what this place was, don't you?" to jadis is making me nuts. did i miss something?Gnash
- Yeah, that helipad thing was something that maybe will only come up again the end of this season.. but I think it was a good episode overallFabricio
- I was surprised to see Negan being a bit (too) emotional about Carl's death... will he be good, and Simon be the new bad guy?Fabricio
- With that exchange between Negan and Simon, it felt that they were trying to setup something... maybe its just a curveball.. dunnoFabricio
- PS: about the helipad, there might be some connection with this:
https://www.express.…Fabricio - Ya, that flash of empathy in began was odd. But don't forget that he just LOVED bashing in the skulls rick's crew so don't get your hopes upGnash
- what do you think the garbage pit "was" ? oh, and they mentioned the solar panels there, tooGnash
- plus, she was eating military-like rations from a pretty clean looking box.Gnash

I thought this was the best episode in a long time. That walker grinder was just some brilliant stuff.

I stopped watching three seasons ago or whenever. Not going to pick it back up so can someone just tell me... Is Negan still alive?

Who were those lesbian-hipster-vinyl-collectors that showed up?

Yes this is a terrible show but I am still incredibly curious as to the storytelling. I've not read the comics so I don't know how far off they are (I know the kid doesn't die in them though).
What's interesting to me is the show still uses standard hero-story tropes like emphasizing (or trying to) that Rick is the "good guy" and Negan is "bad," but for two or three seasons now the "good guys" have been making decisions that range from morally questionable to outright evil.
I can't really tell what the showrunners are trying to do, what narrative they want to construct or who they want to be considered worth rooting for ... honestly in our fucked up reality it's kind of an interesting thing to watch, because it's as untrustworthy as everything else.
- Negan's the most likeable guy on the show. Everyone else is annoying._niko
- There is no true good and bad, only your team and your survival. Everyone has a motive/angle to survive.ETM
- ^ yeah i understand that, but I can't tell if the show does. Like they seem to want to have that ambiguity but are using stereotypical storytellingcolin_s
- which emphasizes standard protagonist / antagonist concepts, as opposed to like, "the wire" whose execution kept all sides on equal groundcolin_s
- It WAS an interesting thing to watch. Those dynamics have always been there.

Season FInale happened 2 days ago and not one comment.
This show is truly dead.
- I liked it. Just didn't want to trigger Benn. Wait until Benn finds out that Adobe owns the rights to the show.Gnash
- It’s just so much cheese latelyRamanisky2
- Good ending, cheers to the mullet. Interesting to see if the mutiny foreshadowing goes anywhere._niko
- That whole mutiny thing was a bit confusing. Especially after Daryl and Jesus were preaching the ways of forgiveness. I get Maggie's rage but not the others...Morning_star
- Also, Ricks beard disturbs me.Morning_star
- This half of season 8 was enjoyable TV. Let's hope Rick's beard dies in the first episode of season 9.robthelad
