well im sure thats what the black guy is gonna focus on. He's clearly gonna turn into a zombie. In the comics this theory is confirmed with shanes death.... which didnt happen in the show.
blah whatever, this show is so weak. It hurts to watch.
- kill off the only black guy?!? that's racist!sigg
- theres more black people coming and they're cooler :)sofakingbanned

After the dumb grenade throw from season 1 finale,
i decided to go back to the comic, way better and no overused stereotypes,
- sigg0
the best part about the comic is that it was very clear... you shouldn't fear the zombies, you should fear the people standing next to you. it's everyone else you need to worry about. zombies are just nuisances.
- interesting, I never read the comic, but I just might after reading this commentmonospaced
- yup I would say that is really the core of this story.sofakingbanned
- yea but that does not come across in the show, and that is a major element of why I liked it.Ironmonkey

Did ‘The Walking Dead’ Cook Up a ‘Breaking Bad’ Reference?
http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.co…The New York Times points out that the crystal meth spotted in a recent episode has the distinctive blue color of the product cooked up by the characters on AMC's "Breaking Bad." Creator Robert Kirkman says the meth was included as a "little Easter egg we were doing for AMC fans."
- Walt would have figured out a chemical compound that could stop the outbreak.randommail
- ..maybe Walt created a chemical compound that created the outbreakepill

Pretty solid mid season finale
- poor Sophia :(ok_not_ok
- if i was any of them, i would have killed hershel for lying to all of them about the little girl.e-pill
- It was Otis' job to collect walkers. He said that plainly in the episode. Only with him dead, did Hershel go out.ETM
- If Hershel knew, he would have said so, given the search for Sophia was an excuse for them to stay.ETM

I can't get along with this show for more than 20 minutes till my suspension of disbelief kicks in like an intellect-withdrawl and I shout things at the tv. How do the fucking walkers live ? They can't hunt, grow crops, eat soil, so how do their bodies function ?
"Look - three shots to the chest and they still keep on coming - what thing that's alive does that ?" the guy said tonight as he shot them in the chests. Exactly - how ? Nothing that uses a central brain that only operates by being fed a supply of regulated, oxygenated blood. Nothing that uses that blood to supply muscles that it operates under conscious control to direct it towards food, or stay upright.
You just can't change the rules this much, and still try to explain it with ideas of 'base brain activity' or some such shit. It's either - they're magic, we don't know, OR you leave in the rules - the laws - of biology. Sorry, that's one massively major fuck up for me that ruins the whole premise of that and any other zombie show or film. They're all bullshit for people with no basic understanding of biology or with a willingness to forget it.
Is there anything like this but for smart people ? People who went to college and didn't forget everything they'd ever been taught ?
This show could be good if they just concentrated on making the characters realistic and didn't fucking moronically fudge the rest.
That fucking old farmer guy - these people, desperately trying to make their way through a world gone crazy, no law, no state, day to day brutal survival, under the shadow of almost certain death, arrive at a farm where the owner won't tolerate them and has a barn full of walkers - the idea that it's 'his land, his rules' would not apply.
They would shoot him because he's a direct threat to their safety. That's how people behave in desperate situations, when there's no law and their lives are on the line. I'd fucking shoot him, and so would you, the stupid old fuck. Take the farm. If you think any other way, then that's just naive, I'm sorry.
Fucking zombies. What a stupid idea.
Fuck them.- someone got a dose of reality for thanksgiving it would seem...idiots
- haha :). Good sci-fi is about how something slighty, subtly different casts a different light on humanity. This fails on the science and the human drama.mikotondria3
- science and the human part.
Other than that I really like it, I think it's excellently shot, scripted and edited.mikotondria3 - It's well cast, and well colored too. The sets are good, and the wardrobe is perfect.mikotondria3
- perfect for a race of undead unrealistic zombies that is ;)idiots
- Of course. Only having their brainstem active precludes successful laundry completion. That's a given.mikotondria3

E-pill,
I read your comment above about "killing Hershel". In the Talking Dead, which happens after the Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman discussed how they should be mad at Shane.Otis, who Shane killed, had been getting the zombies and stashing them in the barn. No one knew that Sophia was in there except Otis... who is now dead. If he was alive they could have talked to him and he could have told them that he had picked a little girl zombie up and she is in the barn.
- what is talking dead/? i dont watch this on tv.. i stream it after it airs..e-pill
- otis deserved his fate 100 billion times over.. and for him to endanger everyone ,,e-pill
- by bringing in new dangers to safe environment with more zombies he got what he shoulde-pill
- Talking Dead is a 'talk show' discussing the night's episode. It airs right after the Walking Dead on AMC.ETM
- what about the women who broke that chicken's leg and fed the zombies.. she knew..e-pill
- so she cant tell everyone .. "hey we have a lil girl zombie" possibly the only child zombie..e-pill
- i wouldnt be mad at shane.. he is protecting himself and the group from more potential harme-pill
- She just throws the bag in. Who's to say she knows exactly what's in there (head count etc.)ETM
- she stood over the edge of the top of the barn and watched as they ripped apart the chickens.e-pill
- ill have to see the talking daed shows.. or is it audio only?e-pill
- e-pill >> its an hour long television show on AMCRamanisky2

"They would shoot him because he's a direct threat to their safety. That's how people behave in desperate situations, when there's no law and their lives are on the line."
The whole point (with exception to Shane) is that they are trying to hold on to decency and humanity in the world. The battle between Shane and Rick is basically this playing out (They don't make it subtle). Shane is the world that is, Rick (and Hershel really) are the world that was. They try to hold on and as a result people die and what was once the right or proper choice has now become irrelevant. Every time Rick makes what is the decent choice in a civilized world, someone dies.
- you hold onto humanity by having compassion for the "walking dead"? melodramatic fantasy for menidiots
- Hershel doesn't see them as dead, he thinks they are ill and a cure will be found. Again, plainly laid out.ETM
- Hershel et al has also been sheltered from just how bad this whole ordeal is. Rick pointed that out.ETM

Its like dawsons creek with one or two zombies thrown in near the end. I am hoping, that they will pull their finger out and start focussing on the zombies rather than the characters relationship problems.

okay okay... the end of S2E7 made it all better... ... now I want to watch again... ... looking forward to tonight :)
