curious how many of you - if any - accept credit cards for design services?

i know the fees are brutal so never considered it (unless doing merch), but have had a couple requests recently. sign of the times maybe?

Ask them to use Paypal or Google checkout via their credit card.

    • google checkout I don't know this, will look seeinkpink1/2
I use google checkout. No problems, though the fees a little high. In your bank account in 2 days.epigraph2/2

we take cc. for us it makes the bookkeeping a lot easier- although the bank gives out free cookies, so it's nice to deposit checks too...

dunno if it's just me, but I REALLY hate going down the Paypal route... I know its standard nowadays but still seems so unprofessional to suggest to a client.

when working with small to medium businesses it is normally credit card. when i work with corporations, its a check /purchase order.

you're not going to escape the processing fee. i found that at some point its better to use your bank merchant services rather than the paypal/ online merchant services. takes out a step/ fee in the process.

    • what fee? chase charge to use their services.brodyR
