Summer 1971: Simon English visited 75 points across the country to write the word 'ENGLAND' on England.
Summer 2010: Simon English makes a new artwork by revisiting those points.

the site's layout is really neat

met one of the guys who made it today. top chap.
apparently they had to give the artist a corporate fleet GPS and then write all this crazy API shit and the send to google who plot the route live on their server for you.
Love how you can zoom in on the photos below the map without zooming.

@rupedixon - i'd say it's even more relevant now, with such a nice way to present and view the project (google maps and a nice site). I wonder how the project was presented in 1971? slideshow?

indeed - although the Google maps API just breaths a new lease of life into it, in a way the artist could never have imagined when he conceived the project...
Not sure about the slideshow, maybe an enormous installation
