Even thought I'm happy with my lastest blurb book (http://www.blurb.com/my/book/de... hi quality paper, lustre finish), Asuka Book still looks like the highest quality (and most expensive). BTW, pure black pages don't look so good in blurb, too much sheen.

In the uk I used Bob Books. More expensive than blurb but the paper quality is way better. They use 300 gsm Fuji Album Lustre paper and their photobooks are bound with no spine so you can open it completely flat with no gutter. Great for double page images. The customer service is a little iffy and you can't upload a pdf (yet) but the quality more than makes up for it.

ive done alot through blurb. was pretty happy with the digital printing about 5 years ago, but there were some problems with bleeds and cutting. you used to have to use their designer, and there was no bleed/cut area. they just did it where they wanted. so some of the books i got had white bars on the top and bottom.
recently printed a couple books through blurb for a client and the results weren't great. quality of digital print (even on the premium paper) seemed weak. and definitely dont expect things to fall where they are supposed to (even when using their indesign template).
if you care about it being really nice, dont bother with blurb for a while.
id love to see if anyone has tried blurb and found better!

the other thread that bigtrick posted says http://signaturebook.com.au/ is good for quality.
