I'm going to be working in London for a while and wanted to know whats a decent average wage for a middleweight non-digital designer? Just wanted to check if what i've been offered is ok.

around £25-30k, i am guessing.

Yeah 25-30 is probably ok.... Maybe a bit more if you are Senior.
You can probably get more if you go to a big advertising agency, but be aware that your life might suck a bit after the first 6 months... just saying.

Just curious, why are you avoiding interactive/digital stuff

I love print and branding

Junior: 18-25k
Middleweight: 25k-30k
Senior: 30k+

I would definitely say you could push for a bit more than 25k to be honest. 28k would be acceptable. Freelance rates are obviously a load more than this though!

so, did you take it?

Hey guys,
I have the same question as the first poster but for a senior digital designer regarding wage. Your thoughts?

£40k

Senior would be £35k plus.
I've had recruiters blanket-mailing for senior positions for as low as £26k though. Most decent places, genuinely after a senior, will be £35+ though.

living on £25k can be tricky...
