Zach, Zach, Zach, still spewing the same words. You had impact when you were relevant. A failure on your own, your band carries you.
FFS write some new and meaningful material. You are no better than Cher now.

I've always wanted to see them live, would be the best.

still my all time fave .. that fucking guitar riff

I liked a few of their songs, I just wished they branched out in terms of writing... all the songs had the same structure.
I do appreciate that they put a message in their music. Relevant or not in 2010, it's more than 95% of other bands... trying to bring light to serious subjects. I mean, Beyonce does have a point that if I liked it I should have put a ring on it... but not quite the same.

I would argue they are more relevant now than ever. Ahead of their time musically and politically.
- No they weren't, they fused their own sound out of what other bands had done before them. Urban Dance Squad, Fishbone, Bad Brains, etc...Andrew_D
- bad brains, fishbone were around way before RATM.Andrew_D
- they have influences so whatDodecahedron
- all these bands were a head of their time tooDodecahedron
- Your post made it seem like they created a genre of music, which they didn't. The other did. Still like Rage, regardless.Andrew_D
- Just said they are still relevant, more relevant. 100% original is another story but they've defined rap/metal political music for everDodecahedron
- ...music. You could add suicidal tendancies and anthrax to the list.Dodecahedron

They launched a countdown site for something.
