Holy moly, I wasn't really that fussed about it until I saw these vids.

I shouldn't, but I will.

Nascar and gokarts in it as well.
- Nascar must be the lamest sport ever conceived.Lillebo
- The way Nascar was conceived is the only cool thing about itgoldieboy
- Drag racing on the beach in Daytona. On TV Nascar sucks. At the race, in the pits its bad ass. Def a must do in your life.VikingKingEleven

:/monospaced - Judging by the one pic that did work, that looks like the Nissan GTR. Which is interesting because the GT5 creators did the actual gauge screen for the car.soundsinsilence
- ...that actual gauge screen for the real car.soundsinsilence

Check this out. The car index.

Not excited about this game in the least. Pretty to look at sure, but I can't muster any more interest than that.
- sofakingbanned0
meh, for how long they've been working on it. This just looks like a nice version of GT1.
- CygnusZero40
^ If you're being sarcastic, that's a tired argument. People play games as a break from reality. It's just entertainment. And most of us don't have access to race people, especially in expensive, exotic cars, so it's really the next best thing. And it's a hell of a lot safer.
Do you watch movies? If you watch a movie about mountain climbers, there are real mountain climbers that say the same thing about those movies, "Meh, I can just go do the real thing derp derp". You don't want to be like those pretentious pricks.

i saw a re-used texture in there. i think i'll wait until GT6 in 2025 when they've put some real time and effort into this game..
- dyspl0
I would love to see it proposing real environment situation ; something closer to flight simulator but with cars :)
Driving from north europe to south, through GPS checkpoint, with traffic etc... that would be great (like vette on PC more than 10years ago)So much details just to drive on closed tracks... bummer.
- get the game test drive unlimited 2 when it comes out, it's exactly what it iselektro
- that's what I plan to do.
GT5 looks much more realistic tho.dyspl - Vette! Forgot about that, and that was almost 20 yeras ago.duckofrubber
- SteveJobs0
also, i want to get out of the car and go hike one of those amazing picturesque mountains in the background, or stop and have a cup of coffee at one of those quaint little cafe's lining the cobblestone streets. where's the freedom in this game???
- it's not GTA.. they've spent 3 years modeling the Nürburgring..elektro
- and if you don't know what the Nürburgring is, then this game is definetly not for youelektro
- Wasnt it 2 years to model the ring?CygnusZero4
- something between 2-3 years.. i know they've even recreated the graffitis on the trackelektro
- moldero0
goKart, ive been waiting for this!
the last version of GT5 "prologue" sucked, nothing like 2 and 3 or was it 3 and 4.
- SteveJobs0
^ i was just being facetious, but honestly, some of those environments are so amazing and beautifully detailed, it's a damn shame you can't explore them. few other game genres put so much effort into the realism of the game. imagine a first person shooter that looked like this. (sidenote: apart from RDR and RE5, i've been out of gaming for a while, so maybe so maybe they do have these kinds of visuals in more recent games?)
- in the photomode you can get out the car and take pictureselektro
- yeah, but can you shoot anyone? (not with the camera)SteveJobs
- With a built in digital SLRCygnusZero4
- moldero0
Ill be suprised if the release date for Nov 2 (ps3) doesnt get pushed back for months, it seems like all their previous releases were pushed back for a long long time, but were all worth the wait (except prologue that piece of shit)
- Seanbot0
I feel like the guy from iA right now. Sorry. I am actually pretty excited to get this.
