I know Notch isn't a big company, but from what I've heard he's made kajillions and invested virtually nothing back into the game to improve its much-talked-about shoddy coding and memory problems. What I proposed above are mostly superficial and game play/play mode changes.

Why should I be impressed with this game?
So you just build stuff?
- I'm trying to impress anyone with it - try it and see, if you don't like it then cool. It's a hard concept to sell (...)detritus
- (...) as for big chunks of the 'game' you're not actually doing very much. It's a weird one, I appreciate.detritus
- oh - haha - "I'm NOT trying to impress anyone with it".

Haven't had my head in this space for a while (aside form a quick check of the new updates, *ahem*) — has anyone come out with any good 'competitive multiplay' mods yet?
Y'know, to get some PvP tension in the game?

deadmau5 is big on it too apparently

https://mojang.com/2014/09/yes-w…The 3 founders are leaving the company. They already sold over 50 million copies of the game across all the platforms.

Thats cool! shame the fog is so dense.
when i started playing i did think how awesome it would be on iphone / android. so i looked into it and found the full version running on a samsung Galaxy S (crazy powerful phone).would be amazinging if you could have the full version, without fog, and sycned to your pc version, on your phone! mental :D
- Considering the full version struggles even on powerful machines... not very likely any time soonPIZZA
- Not available in the UKJimbo82

^ this does look like a fun experience. it's a real pain in the butt to install tho.
XNA 3.1, .NET 3.5, and Direct9.0c redistributable is needed and that isn't even including the game files. XNA & .net might mess with your internal development environment since it is tricky business co-running .net builds.

Seems like being famous got to Notch. Too bad. It was an incredible Cinderella story.

Very similar (but orders of magnitude bigger in terms of money) to the Flappy Bird developer. These guys just want to make games and geek out, they never really expected their game to be so big and then be admired by fans.
Even Aphex Twin on a recent interview said his kids think Notch is a god.

Can't wait to see what MS do with it.
Just hope they leave a version of the shitty old Java version unspoilt...
