  It's been happening to me as well. It's a new mid 2010 iMac, 27", i7 quadcore intel, 16gb ram, 2TB hardrive with 256 solid state drive, 1gb vram radeon graphics card. The fucker randomly and spontaneously shuts down with no apparent reason what so ever. 4 times so far in the 4 weeks I've had it. Aside from this depressing quality, it's a beautiful machine and a pleasure to work with.
