I listened to the following which is great:
Podcast Episode 46 — Jill: Dear Grandpa
Appears in Netflix episode 2: “The Mortified Guide to Family”
"The diary of a grieving teenage girl who misses her grandpa so much, she dedicates every entry of her journal to him. Which is obviously very sweet. However, most of her entries are about making out with boys. The result is a surreal juxtaposition of heart and hormones."
- Watched the first episode of that last night - i was expecting it to be cringeworthy but it was quite a hoot and, at worst, a bit 'This American Life'.detritus

- "loved?"chukkaphob
- Given this was 23 years ago, using the past participle seems fairly apt.Nairn

Media totally overreacting to this. Made me laugh.
- thats because the media and twitter mobs are fuckwits.inteliboy
- way better than his last specialMilan
- go louisGnash
- Haven't listened yet but curious, does he joke about his own situation? Or leave that out?yuekit
- @yuekit He jokes about having a bad year and losing money as a result but not about the actual act.mort_
- I feel he could have handled the situation better for sure.mort_
- *no pun intendedmort_

HE'S BACK! AND HE'S PIIISSED!pango - Yeah I guess it's a no win situation to address directly. Just find it interesting he built his career on brutal honesty but apparently there are still limits.yuekit
- Also this movie and the extremely unfortunate timing lol
https://en.wikipedia…yuekit - My friend is operations mgr @ this comedy club, they're super strict about cell phones. Sucks that it got recorded and taken out of context. Still love Louie.sea_sea
- I agree yukit, he does brutal honesty, he hasn't changed, that's what's funny imo.sea_sea

I highly recommend the James Acaster Netflix specials. I'd lazily assumed he was just another straight-to-panel-show non entity but his standup is the best I've seen in years. Really clever and unusual. And really funny.
- K E T T E R I N G Town FC_me_
- It is clever and unusual isn't it.
Some really outstanding bits in there.
I don't watch panel shows so knew nothing about him. I thought I'd give him a go.Hayzilla - Yeah, he's a very clever chap - his shows on Netflix are probably the best stand up I saw last year.Nairn
- Started watching the first one on a whim, and ended up watching them all.greyandred
- Yeah he's great.mort_
- I completely got to him in the same way you did – dismissed him as another bland T-shirt comic and stumbled across this. I'm a fan now.Wolfboy
- I was at the recording of those specials. He's brilliant. Have tickets for his new show in a couple of weeks, can't waitBaskerviIle
- How many of the sets did you see Baskerville? Did he have the same audience for all four so he could work the call backs across all the shows?Wolfboy

Reluctantly put Adam Sandler's 100% Fresh special, just to have some noise in the background, and was very surprised at how funny I thought it was. Ended up watching it three times in the space of two weeks.
