So I'm going to try and have a virtual beer wall.
It's going to be a picture of a wall with shelves and beers on the shelves.
Then when you move your mouse over the beers, a little bubble will appear showing some information about the beers.
Just wondering if there is some Javascript out there to do this or would it be better in Flash for the roll overs?

What do you feel more comfortable with?
Neither option will work on an iPad, the Western world's primary web development driver these days...

Never done iPhone/iPad dev... but you're saying there is no 'onMouseover' equivilent for iOS compatible with multitouch?

I'm more comfortable with HTML/CSS/Javascript code.
I think I would really like to stay away from Flash if at all possible

^ This isn't quite what I was looking for... more of a roll over that stay on screen, not a pop up window.

technically, javascript hovers do work on an ipad, one tap engages the hover, double taps translate to a click. but it's possibly bad UI and maybe you should reconsider.
anyway, this is maybe the easiest route, a jquery tooltip plugin. you can style the tooltip object however you like.
- when did rollovers become bad UI ? Fuck ipads, messing with our shit. Just fuck offmikotondria3
- haha. it's not just ipads, any touchscreen device. the world is going mobile, we'll all have to change eventually!acescence
