I am trying to teach my self how to read Japanese, and I was wondering if anyone who knows Japanese felt like meeting up at a coffee house or something and doing some language sharing.

gambate kudasai.
Japanese is hard to a certain point than it gets easy. I dont think I'll even be able to read it. I suggest getting manga and translating them yourself. Also find japanese peeps, and talk to them. It works

See if you can get yourself some japanese childrens educations books. Often textbooks designed for english speakers are very boring & not terribly intuitive. The childrens books however often use the shape of real objects etc to help remember different characters and learn vocabulary. Similar to how we do "S is for snake" and so on. Kanji is essentially a symbollic form of the word that it is describing, so it's particularly handy there.
- When i was in Japan i would look for children books for the same reason.instrmntl
