I've been searching for high fashion photo's on veer, getty images, and istock and I can find any good stuff. Is there any other stock sites that might be better? Most of the stuff out there is so staged and lacks sophistication.
And no I cant do a photo shoot:)

I have used them in the past, not a bad selection.

Oh, damn utopian, nice one.
Hey i have a question to anyone knowledgable in this area. Do the rights to licensed images generally allow you modify those images beyond resize/crop? What if I used them to demonstrate the effect of some commercial digital imaging software? Are there provisions for this, and are they like another tier of license (read: more expensive)?

I've generally been happy with www.istockphoto.com. But then I read you were looking for sophistication. Carry on.

Hmmm, upon further inspection, those images still have that stock photo 'look' to them.
Thanks MrT, that's kinda what I figured.
What's the typical price range of licensing something like that? Can $500-1k go very far for like 2 or 3 REALLY good shots? Are there higher profile sites that cater to these kinds of needs, short of hiring a photographer to do a custom shoot?

I think http://www.masterfile.com would probably be good for high fashion photography.
