  depends what you're talking about, but personally, if I look at places like ffffound, designspiration, graphic exchange, etc, I'd say it's a pretty sad state of affairs... but I don't look at those places much, really the only design that I look at online is at http://www.septemberindustry.co.… and for the most part, I find the work confident, mature, inspiring and reassuring that the state of commercial graphic design is ok...
