I agree 100% with Ranger.
Outside of stylistic considerations, and more about function, I've seen a rise in print design that is inspired by design for web or mobile devices. When done well, it provides interesting new ways for presenting content. When done poorly, it's gimmicky at best and confusing at worst.
On the style front, I'm seeing tons of stuff that's inspired by Nicholas Felton and Monocle Magazine. The irony with both of these examples is that each is heavily influenced by mid-century modernism (Monocle especially).
