who can see what websites I visit without looking at my browser history on my computer? If i'm using someone else's wireless, can they tell I'm online? Looking at private sites?

a man in the middle can, for example, I can open my wi-fi and set up a linux box to act as a router, from there I can log all the traffic OR you can just simply sniff on the network traffic

Depends on whether encryption is used or not, if not used then they can see the wireless traffic if they choose to look. Otherwise they can intercept it at or after the router.
"Other people's wireless networks" should generally be regarded as insecure.

If you're not the only one using the wireless connection, blame the other person for looking at porn.

I don't understand what this means:
"if not used then they can see the wireless traffic if they choose to look. Otherwise they can intercept it at or after the router."

^I'll try again. If you don't use encryption then anyone who wants to can see your traffic. Even if you do use encryption that only lasts as far as the router, so if they control the router or tap the network after the router they can also see your traffic.
Better?

I understand that, but I'm confused what they would use to look? Can they look on their computer? Is it there forever? PC or MAC?
