Well as it turns out I'm going to be moving back to Sweden at the start of next month. Lived there for a short time back in 2008.
Does anyone know of any internships/work placements etc, or just somewhere to get a foot in the door over there? Figured I'd try and take that approach given how hard it was to find a proper job last time I was over there. People are obviously a lot more likely to give you a shot if you're not asking for money! I never finished learning Swedish properly so that proves to be a bit of a barrier to most places from hiring you (and fair enough too).
I've been contacting as many of you Swedes as I can find lately but am throwing it out there on QBN, exhausting all the options.
All advice, tips and obligatory off topic QBN responses are welcome.
Put a few things online recently too: http://www.jeremyjevans.com/

The swedish people are a bit similar to dutch but have more sense of humour...
- You mean the Dutch have a sense of humor. Thats wouldn't be "lagom" for Swedish people.ethandmarquis
- shit, you're right! I have to be more careful when choosing my words.oey
- I've lived in both and most know the difference :)ethandmarquis

Can I ask, why sweden?

@GeorgesIII
Yes. We'll my girlfriend and I have been putting off moving there for a few years now (she's a swede) as we knew it's going to be difficult for me to get a job, but now that she's been accepted into University it looks like it's my turn to be the foreigner. Fortunately I love the country though. I may think differently if I can't find work however.
- ooh cool,
I was wondering why a kiwi wasn't going to london insteadgeorgesIII - haha, I know what you mean. 90% of my mates live in London now. Who knows maybe I'll have to bail out over there.shapeaspect

Well I'm looking in Stockholm, but am open to anywhere really. Thanks for the tip though. I'll check them out.

Don't forget CP+B have an office in Stockholm, too, and I think they're looking for people.

awesome. as far as job hunting in sep. it might be a bit harder. people are either on vacation or taking it then. a reminder that they have 5 weeks. on the other hand, great time to be in stockholm.
- It's like this all over Europe. Fucking EVERYONE is god knows where turning red as lobsters. Except me. >:(Continuity
- haha. yeah.akrok

Good point akrok, I didn't think of people being on vacation when I'm stuck in the middle of winter down here. Any time's a good time to be in Stockholm though. I love that city!
