MBA - Message Board Addiction
"Most people that visit message boards are reaching out for the advice of other, more anonymous people. The healthy way to visit a message board is to get advice or health. When it becomes your social life, then you may have a problem. It is said that one who feels socially outcast is especially attracted to forums of other social outcasts."

Thanks for this thread. 20s suck. Most annoying bunch of little trend-jumping brats in existence.

So, to sum up then...
20s - super educated under achievers
30s - super stressed middle management and skint
40s - under the glass ceiling, targets for redundancy
50s - retired on the back of house price inflation
60s - delinquent and spending the kids inheritance
70s - eating slippers and burning the furniture for heat- I've skipped right ahead to my 70's apparently. Been there since I was 26.TheBlueOne

it's a good read. rather applicable to me and a lot of my friends. although i have one of those "job" things everyone seems to be complaining about.

I didn't realize people in the 20's were that fucked up.

its the parents fault for giving them everything; money, paying their bills, enabling them as so not to ever suffer. how many of these kids have $400 iphones with $150 phone bills every month? , have xboxe's with zillions of games, have cars ..list goes on and on. .
its also our society in which we hold social class so high. god forbid you work doing manual labor and pay your own bills.

transition to adulthood as marked by five milestones: completing school, leaving home, becoming financially independent, marrying and having a child. In 1960, 77 percent of women and 65 percent of men had, by the time they reached 30, passed all five milestones. Among 30-year-olds in 2000, according to data from the United States Census Bureau, fewer than half of the women and one-third of the men had done so. - in the article above

"The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for
authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place
of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their
households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They
contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties
at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers."- Socrates

The Baby Boomers really started this whole bullshit generational bullshit in all it's navel gazing glory, and later as a "marketing tool". It was like "We'll never measure up to our parents who just saved Western Civilization from tyranny, so we'll just drop acid and drop out and call it the Best Thing Ever." Of course, they burned the ground around them, stared at my generation who they needed to "label" and called us Gen X and to satisfy there own insecurities called us a "worthless generation". And I watched as my generation toyed with this label they got handed, and then after a decade shrugged and said , whatever, fuck this. Now, all these 20 somethings who are the kids of all these Baby Boomers, who they coddled on play dates and all this shit and..well..here we are...
Burn this shit to the ground. It just doesn't matter. It's all shit to sell magazines and TV shows and dish soap and deodorant.
