“Our Identity
We are proud of our Islamic heritage. Of Sheikh Zayed’s legacy. Our identity should reflect this. To that end we propose a design which combines Islamic tradition with contemporary design based on an Arabic calligraphy of Abu Dhabi.It's a fine line I guess. I don't think the mark would do much without some sort of arabic influenced typeface. It looks a bit Ali Baba to my Western eyes but I'm sure that is me being a heathen. It's starting to grate on me seeing lines of copy on the site visuals set in it.

Love the sail and the knocked out script, but the wordmark just looks hokey. The aesthetic that works for Arabic writing does not look professional when brought to Latin lettering, in my opinion.
