Right thanks guys. It had never occurred to me to google it. QBNers at their best! I'll google it now, try out 20 different ones and get 30 viruses in the process. Fuck I wish I'd though of that earlier!

Try PSPad (pc) its nice in the fact the has a built in ftp, can keep project files together without modifying directory structure, highlighted syntax, rich text formating and has a small footprint (on hd and ram).
