Looney Tunes Returning to Theaters and TV
Source: Warner Bros. July 30, 2010
Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote, two of the most popular Looney Tunes characters of all time, are returning to the big screen in three all-new animated 3D shorts. The studio will attach the cartoon shorts to three of its upcoming family features—all three features to be released this year in 3D. The first short will be seen with Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore on July 30th; the second with Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, on September 24th; and the third with Yogi Bear, on December 17th. The announcement was made today by Dan Fellman, Warner Bros. PicturesPresident of Domestic Distribution.

3D will destroy the art of film-making
I'm sure of it

I was wondering about this the other day .. 3D does change the art of film-making, but I don't think it will destroy film-making any more than the introduction of colour destroyed things back way-back-when.
It's up to the creator to place constraints on which techniques are available to him/her.
I saw an amazing 3D animation at the beginning of Toy Story 3 the other day. Totally ambitious and crazy (in the weird, crazy genius sense of the word). It uses the medium of 3D in a sympathetic way, and because it's so subtly done, it works. The 3D isn't the star of the show - but the story is definitely made more compelling through its use.
