How are you liking your new phone? I lost my 3g phone over the weekend and am considering buying the new model but am wary of the hardware issues.
I'm considering buying a 3gs (white) phone off someone until the next model comes out. They appear to be holding their value as they're running about $400 used on craigslist. Whether they're actually being purchased at that price is another question.
Any thoughts? Do you feel like you've simply bought a new one just to have the new one and the features aren't that incredibly winsome? Or is it worth the hassle of always holding the phone to your right ear?

i've been using a test one around the office for two weeks and it's fantastic.
i just purchased the new iphone yesterday so here's something to consider. no stores have them in stock. i called the apple store first and they said they're out, so then i called 2 att stores and they were both out, so i took a chance and drove to the flagship att store and it turned out that they didn't have any either. you purchase the phone and it's shipped to you in 7-14 days. so, what does that mean? imo apple quietly recalled all of the iphones from stores and are fixing the antenna problems, then shipping the new phones out to fulfill orders. i noticed the ones that they had in their store had a slightly darker, almost gunmetal color antenna band around the phone that looked different than the smooth, silver one we have her e at the office. so i think it's a safe bet to buy and you wont have any issues.
oh, and my wife and her friend were at a concert over the weekend and my wife has the 3gs, her friend the iphone 4 and they were both sending photos and the iphone 4s were blowing the 3gs images away.

I have had the iP4 for over a week now, and I have no complaints whatsoever!
It's amazingly fast! It really feels like a brand new phone. I upgraded from the 3G. I bought a case for it, as I did for my other one the first day I got it, and I had no signal problems (BTW - for the few hours I had it without a case, never had a bar drop either).Multitasking, and folders are great, and useful, and FaceTime is quite fun!
The new camera is freaking impressive, such an improvement!
And HD video looks great also! So in my opinion the iP4 is great, and I'd recommend it to anyone!Best of luck,

Cant complain. Ordered mine online said it would take 3 weeks got it in less then two. Haven't really had any antenna issues but I always have a case around it cause i'm clumsy but even when I don't haven't dropped a call yet. Kona is right on the camera. It is 10x better. I really love the screen res too. Makes a huge difference when looking imo. So there's my two cents

Android has clunky UI
If you are used to iPhone, stick with it.

cool. after reading all this i feel better about ordering. i've been without a phone for a week. 1-2 weeks to go. how the hell did people live before cell phones? i feel stranded.

If the iPhone 4 runs any slower than the 3G or drops as many call as the 3G I would recommend buy a few.

no problems here. every time i try a andriod it just feels so clunky. i swipe, it thinks, it slides rough, things just dont feel as smooth and polished as iOS.

AT&T works pretty much fine everywhere i go in L..A. if that helps at all. Esp. eastside.

I love it. Had the 3G before, so this was a big improvement. Aside from the occasional dropped call, everything about the phone is excellent.

i love my 4.
i think it's largely because i had a shitty blackberry before - and i only have macs, thus the mobileme / itunes / seamlessness of it still astounds me.
camera is badass. went to marfa for a weekend and only used the phone - the photos are killer.
