Hi, I just finished to upload my new personal site and would like to receive some crit/comment. I know it does not perfectly work in IE, but to me, it looks good in chrome, firefox and safari.
Not being a designer, I'm looking for some advice about graphic and typography. It has been made with wordpress and jquery.
Here is the link: http://simonelippolis.com
Thank you in advance,
Simone

the word social is oversteping it's boundary on the left column towards the bottom. Why is the map so huge?
- < yep. And the map is just as big as your browser... no?set
- What browser / System / resolution are you using?taxiguerrilla

By 'more consistent with font size'
I was referring to the small black text in the first column being different size to small black text in the rest of the columns. Looks odd.

I have developed a ten-year-long experience in software and web development. Through the years I worked for big players in communication and the Internet industry, such as Now Available, FullSix, Interactive Group, Dada, and Txt, travelling around Europe and cooperating with agencies in London, Barcelona and Cyprus.
Should read something like the below (doesn't really make sense currently)
I have over ten years experience in software and web development. Over the years I have worked for big players in communication and the Internet industry, such as Now Available, FullSix, Interactive Group, Dada, and Txt. I have also worked for agencies based in London, Barcelona and Cyprus.

The content on your project pages is a little underwhelming. In having so little there, I wonder why you don't just lump them all on to a single page.
The small font size coupled with (presumably a non web, non-hinted) font-face renders not terribly well, creating a slight aliasation. A cross we'll all have to bear over the next few years :)
How do I get back to the homepage from the project pages?
You have a 'more info' button at the base of the relevant column, but despite headering your projects with 'Selected Projects', you don't offer any more work to view. This makes me think the 'selected' works actually represent the entiriety of your output, rightly or wrongly.
imo, I'd like a little more swish and novelty in a site that minimal. Otherwise it, as a vehicle for promoting you as a multimedia designer, feels limited and possibly indicative of a lck of capability or imagination.
Like the overall look though, I guess and I like the fact you have 'experiments' up front - shows you're keen.
- jQuery is supposed to open Project's content in a styled modal window, the permalink to the page has been left just for SEO purposestaxiguerrilla
- SEO purposes. Curious you saw the permalink instead of the modal.taxiguerrilla
- Hm.. Odd. It's not doing it after a refresh. This is one of the pages, for example..

I would re-write the following:
"I have developed a ten-year-long experience in software and web development."
TO:
"I have ten years experience in ...."AND
"Currently, I’m full-time employed at Now Available."
TO:
"Currently, I’m employed full-time at Now Available."AND
"I plan to add the possibility to better filter and customise search results."
TO:
"I plan to add the option to better filter and customise search results."

would be better if the map wasn't there. Instead make it as the area where you put a featured homepage image and load all ur project images
- might need to do some jquery sliding action to make it hotjunetic
- I'm a little bit afraid about publishing works I did not design...taxiguerrilla
- I coded all the projects listed, but did not design them, so I think it would be like stealingtaxiguerrilla
- ... making a large use of images I did not design.taxiguerrilla
- i like the mapset

Thank you all, I'll read all your comments and fix everything as soon as possible. I really appreciate the time you spent commenting on it.

I like it.
For me, it's simplicity is a breath of fresh air.
