hmm.
i sorta like knowing the url of the website before i click on to proceed. also the resolution.
seems like change for the sake of change. how is this new layout more useful??
- ah, just clicked the gizmodo link. i see the light.iCanHasQBN
- the lack of grid still looks clunky though. and having to mouseover to see resolution sucks.iCanHasQBN
- infinite scrolling is pretty cool. i hate having to click 1-2-3-4-5-6-7iCanHasQBN
- on rollover the url shows up in your status bar.turnleftonpapuga

I have to admit, except for the bevel and drop shadow they have managed to copy Bing almost exactly.

- which in its turn copied the idea from yandex imageszaq
- Bing at least advanced Yandex's technology. Google did a straight lift.turnleftonpapuga

I like having the details printed below. Doesn't look as clean, but much more usable. I hope they allow "classic" mode after the switch.

Although I'm happy Google is updating their search UI, let's face it, for the world's huge heavily used web app, it still kind of blows.
I'm happy that they have added additional filtering options on the results page itself, but lets' face it, it still feels limited. Where's the slick JS interface like you get for Analytics or Google Maps? And clicking through to that Advanced Options page is like travelling back in time to 2002.

Looks like Bing... although doesn't bother me, but it's not as responsive as I'm hoping for :\
