Oh man, this brings back so many memories. When we were in grammar school, my friends and I would hike way up into the hills and camp out for the weekend along the edge of a creek/river with nobody around and chill. We would create smaller streams by diverting the creek with miniature man-made dams. Once we created a little offshoot from the creek and created a mini sitting pool.
Once we exhausted ourselves hauling rocks around like this, we would eventually race little manmade leaf/twig boats through our custom creek gauntlets. It was hours of fun.

hey just wanted to invite everyone on here to join in on a little summer craft project!
we're building little boats out of drift wood, twigs, leaves, pretty much anything that can be considered "natural".
i've got together with the local newspaper here in Vancouver to have a fun boat-building picnic here next saturday but the project is open to anyone who wants to build one and snap a photo of it floating in a pond somewhere!
