I am using XP on one laptop, works flawlessly. Hate Vista, but have my fingers crossed for Windows 7....not holding my breath, but fingers crossed and hopeful

my god, vista just isnt an OS, its a virus. I found windows 7 not very fast at all.

"XP, its great, clean and fast"
It might be quick, but it's far from great and clean.

cuz i have different use for them. They are like apple and orange. I would hate do work on pc tho or tinkering with sketchy software on mac.

got it. still the most productive OS for a lot of my work.

Just installed Windows 7 on my main PC, it's fucking great. All the speed of XP with the glossy graphics of Vista.
Keep in mind, Microsoft will be ending support for XP sometime in the not so distant future, and the next version of IE won't even support XP.
So you may consider upgrading at some point.

ukit:
Those glossy graphics and some network problems are why I uninstalled 7 on my laptop after 30 min. usage. Looked so cheap. Is there a way to keep Windows classic graphics?
- SteveJobs0
it was just a year or two ago they officially stopped supporting windows 3.1. xp will be around for a while.

Ruffian, I prefer the new look to the clunky look of XP, but yeah, you can easily disable it. And turn off all transparency, animations etc.
The biggest improvement over Vista for me is that they killed off the ridiculous file copying/deleting process in Vista that took about 1,000 years.
- It's not the XP look I'm after, it's the classic one.Ruffian
- I heard it was possible to do the classic look, haven't tried it yet.ukit
- I guess it is possible http://i.imgur.com/u…Ruffian
- you might be able to make it look like Windows 3.1vaxorcist

I still run XP on my audio production box. Works like a champ.

VISTA stands for Virius Infection Spyware Trojans & Adware
and yes, I run XP on a laptop that once had Vista on it....
my GF's machine runs 7, and I am surprised how nice it is....
