F quit apps, that is the purpose of the phone, no?

the "multitasking" seems lame right now. Keeps all my apps open... then for things like Messenger it doesn't keep the session going, so it's sort of useless. It's been good for games and it's a step forward, but I hope they release an update again soon. I have no desire to return to the 3.0 system... maybe I've been lucky.

^ its not the multi-tasking feature on the OS its more to do with how the apps are made. Most were dev around thinking that the apps would not to run in multi tasking environment. While some has push features it is not true multi task (as part of SDK requirements that all apps needs to terminate except to certain push notification).
Maybe when the apps are updated to support the new features, iOS's multi tasking can shine.
- ah, interesting to know. Thanks man! Hopefully I'll see the apps update soon then.jfletcher

If you have a 3G then avoid iOS4 at all costs, turns a perfectly good phone into a piece of shit. And this is coming from an Apple fanboy.
I can't even listen to music and check my email at the same time, fucking sucks!
- same here. I can't even type without a 5 second delay between each keystroke.rosem

Shouldn't be slow on a 3GS. You must be doing it wrong.
