Is it possible to export from Photoshop(Ps) a jpeg that retains it's multiply layer effect? When I export it I check the transparency box, but...
...when I pull it into Dreamweaver(Dw) it has white behind it.
Also, I'm trying to make a rollover that rolls over other elements on a page beside directly where you rollover. I remember Dw from, say, 5 years ago, this was the simplest, easiest thing to do. But in !@#!%$@%$%! Dw CS4, I can't for the LIFE of me figure it out.
Anyone?

you not gonna retain your layer effects with a jpeg. closest you can get is saving as a png24 so that you carry over the transparency.

I just tried that, still didn't work. Is it just not possible? I gotta wait till CS7 or something?

Yeah apparently cs7 will have that function for now just draw the effect on your screen with copic markers

The limitation is the file format, not PS. What do you want Adobe to do about that ?

@Ravdyk: I prefer sharpies, myself.
what about multiple rollovers? anyone?

Can you cite an example that someone else did that shows what you want to do?

make sure the background layer is turned off when you export.
of course you can dot his - its easy

don't use dreamweavers built in features - take something similar and adapt (not copy) it if you don't know how to do it - best way to learn.

Actually, the best way to learn is to go buy the latest revision of oreillys CSS primer, and read it.
You probably are think of image maps, but again, you'd be better off grabbing a JS primer and doing it the proper way, it's actually a ton easier then mucking about with an app that generates crap syntax.
