Flash to iPad

Need to convert some assets for a site to be iPad-friendly. For instance, the Flash header on this site needs to be converted to something iPad-ready— http://www.secca.org/SECCA%20Mee…
Any recommendations? I know the Flash slider will have to be converted to Javascript as well, but it's the Flash header that I'm not sure of. I am sure there is a way to replicate this piece in Javascript, but thought I would throw my ignorance to the dogs.
Thanks in advance....

see, now there's a good task for using html5 canvas. just load the images, and render them using a slight opacity. so easy

Thanks Steve-o. I have been waiting for some task to let me use HTML5. I simply haven't had time to "play" with HTML5, and now that I have something to use it for, I wanna do it right and well the first time out.

doesn't that limit the browsers that can view it correctly in an effort to get it working on an ipad, which my guess is a low percentage of the audience?

if you do this html5 deal... it'll work on the iPad... ... but what about non html5 browsers?

^what he needs to do *might* work on all browsers if he uses excanvas for the ie implementation. it's a bit inhibiting in what it will allow you to do, but that header looks like it could be pretty simple to implement.

actually, smokescreen might render the swf pretty easily if all else fails

anim gif.
but playing with html5 canvas and javascript/jquery might be more fun.

^ This is my angle. I could either take a stab at doing something interesting, or just load in an animated GIF instead. I'd prefer to do the former. :)
When someone accesses the site from an iPad, couldn't I just redirect them to a sub-domain such as mob.website.org or m.website.org?
- redirecting is easy with php, ie. http://mobiforge.com…uan

no need for anything that fancy there, just set the transparency on some divs and move them around, no html5 necessary

actually I'm not sure ipad safari supports anim gifs.
