calibrate your monitor to 2.2 gamma and use a spyder or supercal to calibrate color. convert to sRGB before save to web. don't save images with an embedded color profile.

Yeah I know about the colour shift for safe for web, I was just seeing what other people set up was, using a PC Gamma range is probably a good thing.

NEVER put Adobe RGB (1998) aRGB on the internet — aRGB is one of the worst profiles or color spaces to use if you don't understand it.
