I'm trying to load a video in a div using jquery, the video is an html5 tag version just for iPad users...
it obviously works when I set the useagent in safari to iPAd... but on a real iPad I just get a black screen...
I'm doing something along the links of...
$('#movieHolderInside').html('[v... width="+ swfWidth + " height=" +swfHeight +" controls preload=none][source src=test.mp4 type=video/mp4 /][/video]');

things to note.
are you using a poster image ? (ipad doesn't like this);
are you using JS to create skinable interface?

maybe your needles are dirty

can't show an example... but just putting a video tag in a div (not using poster frame)
