horrible news...
... there have been a number of small natural disasters' across the midwest that nobody seems to be talking about much... Ohio had a nasty twister etc... ... folks dying all over the place... :(

Well... there's people who actually camp (ie: roughing it) and then there's city folk who bring all of their modern conveniences to some rented campsite... which is hardly 'camping'.

But still... flash flooding can be very scary. It happens on occasion by a small river where I live (thankfully, people had the smarts to not build in the flood zone) but it can wash in and cover an area in a relatively short amount of time (15-30 minutes).

Ive never seen a flash flood, Im just being a smart ass for no reason. I feel bad for them, trying to enjoy some time out in the wilderness and this ends up happening. They were at a campground, I guess you would expect to be safe there.

The camping/tenting area itself was probably safe. I bet they were in a small canyon when the flood hit.
