Quick mail question for you. I have a pop3 account that i've been receiving mail at for years. I'd like to make the switch to imap so that i can do a better job of syncing mail between laptop and iphone.
What is the easiest way to make this switch... can i do this through gmail somehow?
Is there any way to maintain my current archive of emails and folder structure?
Ok.. that's all the questions for now.. thanks for the help

Yo! I did this - be careful.
If you create an imap setup in Mail.app, then get rid of the pop one, it will delete all your mail -- so back it up before messing with anything.
Secondly, despite it's pros, I found imap slow and annoying and have gone back to pop anyway.

Or google 'import pop3 into gmail'. There are penty of guides on how to do it. But yeah, make sure you get all that working before deleting your POP3 account in Mail. If you want to be extra safe, back it all up in a separate folder.
