Has anyone had luck integrating the new like button into flash. Only thing I can figure out is to run an iframe on top of the swf.

I am not sure the like button has flash integration? Normal they just do the facebook icon and link to the page.
Is that something you can do?

I'm no expert, but wouldn't integrating the button in Flash be trying to 'like' the .swf. Surely you want to be driving traffic to the holding HTML page?
I may be missing something. My brain is frazzled right now but that's my frazzled thinking. It makes sense in my frazzled mind.

It uses an iframe, so yeah, you're probably better off not using Flash. The only thing I can think of is if you could somehow trigger the JS in the iframe from your Flash movie. Not sure if that's possible across domains though.

Just had a nightmare getting this to work.
In the end the best solution is to float a div over the flash movie.
If your flash movie does anything funky, use JQuery to hide the div first.
ExternalInterface is your friend with this one.

Hey Guys,
The new Like button isn't possible in Flash (we tried). However, a solution is possible with Facebook Connect. Check out our write up on how to do it and why the new button isn't possible.

it's possible to implement completely in flash. you need to use php's cURL to get the html returned to the iframe and scrape it for the form data that gets submitted back to facebook when the button is clicked. then make your own form in flash and post the correct data back. just make sure to send a user agent with your cURL request or facebook's servers won't return any data.
