What is the best format to use AIF or MP3 or other.....?
also looking for AS to control that sound to off and on but have it so that the sound on is still in sync with the animation.
right now I have the sound control btn with 2frames
off and coded:
on(release){
stopAllSounds();
}
on (release) {
nextFrame();
}
AND on Btn with:
on (release) {
prevFrame();
}doesn't get sound on again. my sound is inside a MC in a single frame streaming, not in a MC.

create a sound object inside of that mc, control the volume of the sound object via setVolume method. (I think that still will work with a streaming sound, sound attached to timeline)

reply I had a feeling mp3 would be the better. I sounded funny when I exported.
Any preferences on sound, I should mess with whne publishing? -dbloc

Like anything online you have to balance quality and file size.
First, how log is your sound file? Is it a song or a sound effect. If it is a short sound effect than I would keep it as small as possible.
If it is a song than start big and work backwards, you can simulate different connection speeds through your flash publishing options.

Any links to a mute btn(on off) in AS2 would be helpful.
My worries are that I have a pause/play btn for the animation that also need to pause play the animation. suggetions!!!! PLEASE!!

I'm trying to so this by method of sound Objects. Issue I'm seeing is how to have sound start as soon as it goesToAndPlays my desired frame. I don't want to have to hit a button to start sound.

The saga continues.... Can't get the sound ON function to works. It ends up going on when it goes to the next frame/MC, regardless if I hit MCsoundOn.
