html 4... and uses Flash for the sound...
... what's the point in this example then?...
....does it take up any less resources (not like this in flash would take up that much resources)?
was this more of one of those 'because we could' type of things that would probably be better in Flash?... *confused

the point is to have pacman on the google homepage. This doesn't need cutting edge web standard best practices, grandma on ie6 needs to be able to see it.
- I just want to understand how it was done and if there are benefits to the way this was built as it's on their home page.PonyBoy
- oh... why isn't it 100% flash? so click-to-flash folks can still see game even if they can't hear it?kpl
- I wonder if it'll play on an iPad etc?
probably no sound though?PonyBoy - you could imagine the cow to be had if someone sees flash on the google homepagekpl
- for sure!PonyBoy

Regarding Google and Flash:
Google is very supportive of Flash, even before Jobs became a prick. They have been working with Flash on SEO for quite a while - trying to read content within Flash content: regular and dynamic text. They not only have Flash on Android, but are pretty supportive of that too.

Someone told me if you play the game, Google suck all the info in your computer and sell it to make money. That person also told me that Google is Satan's corporation.

...so, no way I will play! No way i want to be on Satan's side!
