I thought my mac was so nice, i bought it twice.
(first a mini, then a mbp)i work on PCs at work. The only issue i have sometimes is confusing my shortcuts. My knowledge of them is very mechanical and its kind of all in my fingers. so i have to train my brain to not look for the apple key while on my pc and vice versa. Everything else is equal in that dept.
I prefer developing on a mac. Netbeans rocks.

I love my Mac. I work on a Windows machine at work, and it's always so nice to come back home to my computer (except that I sometimes use Windows keyboard shortcuts by mistake).

They arent too bad Mr Impact. I have to use both and both are good

the mac OS does suck balls in my opinion, much prefer XP.
unlucky dude, in this creative design world of mac bumming, iphone riding wankers, i fell your pain :(

not saying all designers are like that at all.Hombre_Lobo - *few/many/hundreds.Hombre_Lobo
- OS X is the best part of a Mac! Really, the only good thing...duckofrubber
- This is like saying you'd rather stare directly into lasers than get a blowjob.DoTheMacarena

I use both. So I dont hate either. Only annoying part about macs are the diehard fanboys. They can sometimes (or a lot of times) be irritating.
- how do fanboys actually bother your overall experience at your home/ office??e-pill
- <ETM
- i mean unless you really focus on what other people say, but how is it irritating exactly?e-pill
- Usually with the dry humping of their machines. Very distracting...ETM
- i mean, for me i care about hardware and software issues and my deadlines..e-pill
- what is the only part about pc's?e-pill
- for the record, im not a mac fanboy.. comics yes.. computers, who cares..e-pill
- yep. i am the same. Im actually brand agnostic when it comes to tech.twistedfork
- "brand agnostic" - i like that!!e-pill

Hmmm well I mainly used Windows for a long time and still own a couple of both but all I know is every Windows machine I ever owned would eventually crash, get a virus, or do some other weird, lame shit. You could assume something would go wrong just by running it for a year.
My Mac, on the other hand, has only crashed on me once in the past year. And actually it didn't even crash, it just paused everything and a message popped up saying I should quit a couple programs. I thought I was having an acid flashback or something.
It's that attention to detail that is nice about a Mac. If that makes me a Koolaid drinker then I guess I

sorry for starting this thread but I was angry after a row in work.
my feelings are are simple.
1. we have been letting a few people over the last few months so I object to paying over the odds for a tool that is only more expensive to subsidise a bullshit lifestyle.
2. I went in the Mac store yesterday. I felt ill, mainly because of the combination of new mac brand "touchpoints" (staff, decor, customers) . I don't want to have to interact with that in the future.
3. I see PCs in mechanical terms. If you take care of the thing it won't crash, get a virus or do any stupid. It is cheaper and you have greater control over the bolt-ons/modifications.
- +1 on the mac store... i hate those places.hans_glib
- the apple store - what a flame thrower was invented for...hans_glib
- I've been using Macs since 1984 and have never needed to step into an Apple store. Just sayin'monospaced
- The Apple store is one of the better retail environments that exist. You can see the company cares about design! Which is important for a company that cares about creativity.DeIntegro

I use both and both have their good points.
Mac os is retarded in some ways though - like not being able to move or copy files in app windows and other shitty file navigation stuff.windows 7 is stable, fast and would surprise a lot of you fanboys - has come on a long way since the blue screen of death days.
but macs look nice, and all the icons are glossy and perfect and its all very slick.
Adobe software is identical on both so I think I will be saving money and buying super high spec windows laptop for less than a low spec Mac Book...
but heyho - i dont buy computers to look cool i guess.
- <twistedfork
- negative. i work on both. windows 7: not stable. adobe on PC is total shit, my PS has not worked right from day one. everything is 2 months new. PC sucks asssofakingbanned
- I buy what works and is solid. PC is not solid and u know it. You feel lucky/happy when your PC doesn't give you problemssofakingbanned
- on a mac.. it just doesn't give you problems... everything just works.sofakingbanned
