hello gents.
i have to decide on what to have on the front page of a site, the blog or company info and products.the blog is intended to keep people coming back for news and interesting things. having it on the front page would be less annoying than having to click one more time to get to it.
then again the products and company page are important. should this be the 1st thing people see every time they visit?
thank you for your thoughts.

product.. gain attention of viewer, not showcasing a blog which is just words.. show the product blurb about the company.. link to a blog..
the sold product is what pays your checks.. so if the blog is more important than your paycheck then put the blog first...

wouldn't it makes sense to include a bit of everything you mentioned?
- My question was regarding what to have on the index page. Thanksmonoblanco

I would say products if selling them is the main goal. Especially if it's an ecommerce site. They can always bookmark your blog page and probably will if they like it.

I've seen plenty of sites that I like where the index page has a bit of everything. Why not dominate the page with some featured work, and have a "latest entry from the blog" somewhere, so there is some content leading people to the blog rather than just a nav link.
- great idea. Got a link to a site that does this? I'll look ito ot thanks!monoblanco
