Will it work in europe?
- whereRI0
if it gets a visa

If there's no simcard in it, definitely no.
If there's a sim card in it, it has to be a mini sim, the new standard.
If this mini sim card has a roaming contract connected to it, there's a small chance it will work.I wouldn't count on it for now.
If there's a contract, is it a european or US contract?

Get a miFi... thats what i did... you're not constrained to just the iPad using it

ALL iPads 3G are unlocked it works everywhere, you just need to pop in a microsim with a data plan and there you go, I know someone that brought a 3G one to europe and is using it.

(you can also cut a sim card to a microsim size if you are careful enough, they are essentially the same thing, only smaller)

I'm using a pay as you go sim that I cut up myself - works just fine.

"If there's a sim card in it, it has to be a mini sim, the new standard."
Is it really the new standard, or are apple just being awkward cunts?

It's easy to modify a standard sim for it moth. Not the point I know but any hapless monkey should be able to work it out I think. I'm just glad not to be tied down to a contract.

I can't believe I wasted my time going to the apple store yesterday to try the ipad,
what a "inutile" piece of hardware, I couldn't understand the fuss before, I'm even more confused now.
that thing couldn't even run the html5 demos I tried on it,
what is the point getting one?- You were going to buy an iPad just to look at HTML5 demos?ukit

Saw one in our office and pretty much every website we looked at was "broken".
Been asked already "what do we need to do to make website work on here?".
Doesn't bode well. We'll all go backwards from 1024 to 800 or whatever the fuck it is.
