I think i Am going to stick with Medal of Honor, looks to have a little different feel. Don't get me wrong, i've played the hell out of MW2, but i am tried of light weight sprinters coming at me head on and somehow manage to stab me, after i have unloaded an entire clip into their chest. Sorry, but midrange combat, the gun should win every time. I don't care what perks you are using. MoH seems to have been given BC2s lethality but more fun to play.

I still haven't touched MW2 yet. I am completely addicted to Bad Company 2 these days.

Its not made by Infinity Ward, so who gives a shit about it.
- That's a good thing.elahon
- This attitude still baffles me.Gucci
- Hmmm, the original creators of the series, and the only ones to make the truly great ones, are now gone.CygnusZero4

The Treyarc versions are never as good. World at War was crap. And now with IW gone it looks like I'll be playing MW2 for years. No other shooter has the polish and competitive crispness of it.
People who think bad company compares are nerfherders. You can't even prone in that shit.
- that is my one hesitation about MoH, because you cant go prone...but there is no kill came eitherrusty_ace
- WaW was definitely not crap. The WWII setting and guns didn't help it, but the game itself had merit.Gucci
- i only tried the WaW demo post playing MW2, but i did not like taking point blank headshot and the guy not dierusty_ace

"take players behind enemy lines."
Isn't this the overall theme in any of the COD games?
- as long as people will play this game, they'll make moar, it's moooneeeeeeeeey $_$elektro
- Nope. It's usually run and gun. My guess is this is going to be a more tactical MGS style.Gucci
- Taking a series that is known for it's run n gun style, I think that would be a bold move.duckseason
- would be interesting to see how that pans out, if that is in fact the direction it goesduckseason

milking this franchise for everything it's worth...
I think MW2 might have been the apex of this franchise. Since most of the top-level devs are now gone from Inifinty Ward (expect to see a complete dissolution of the studio soon) I imagine the quality of anything COD related is going to go downhill from here.
- For as much flask as Treyarch gets, WaW was just as fun as any other COD game, in my opinion.duckseason
- flak.....duckseason
- It will become more arcade-like and less about the simulation... It already has I guess...ideaist
- WaW was a solid game but the WWII genre is about as played out as can bed_rek
- definitely - people die and clouds of money burst out....duckseason

^^ sad but probably true!

I don't think so. I thought Treyarch did a great job with World at War. With better weapons and loadouts, they can build on that – or take it in an entirely different direction. It wasn't their fault they were told to make a WWII game.

"The game is indeed being developed by Treyarch, who have previously made Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty 3 between Infinity Ward-developed Call of Duty titles."
and both of those were TERRIBLE
- agreed.EightyDeuce
- disagree, WaW was a decent game and suffered as a follow up to Modern warfare.Bluejam
- doesnotexist0
will it be better than bad company 2?
- bad company 2 is a fantastic game.d_rek
- much much betterdoesnotexist
- i played the beta and loved it, but none of my friends ended up getting into it...duckseason
- impossible for any COD game.kinkyform

Treyarch isn't a bad studio by any means but their story telling abilities aren't as polished as IWs was... COD is too Quake for me when it comes to multiplayer.
- Story telling? Did you even play the MW2 Single Player Campaign?Sandman_1982
- I was all over the place.Sandman_1982
- Judging by the new trailer, you probably won't like the new one either.Gucci

The dudes at Gamestop were trying to get me to preorder this yesterday as I was picking up Red Dead Redemption. One dude kept saying "It looks like it's going to be really good!" over and over. I finally just pulled the asshole card and said "Dude, they've put out a minute and a half of pre-rendered footage, how do you know? ... Unless you seen more than the rest of us..." He responded "Well, that trailer is really cool..." After that he gave me my game and let me leave in peace.
The corporate mandate for CSRs to try and get you to preorder and subscribe to magazines and buy strategy guides, and trade in games....etc. ad nauseum, makes going into a Gamestop like peeling off several band aids slowly. I wish there was an alternative.- There is, the internet. Amazon, gamestop.com.CygnusZero4
